Future versions will include additional support for Ruby, Tomcat and PostgreSQL, as well as support for Solaris and Windows.
System Requirements
To run BitRock LAMPStack you will need:
- A x86 Linux system with 64Mb of free RAM.
- A glibc >= 2.2 distribution such as Red Hat 7.3 or later. It may
run on older systems but those configurations are not officially
supported.
Supported Platforms
Bitrock LAMPStack 1.0 has been extensively tested and is commercially supported in the following distributions:
- Red Hat 9
- Red Hat Enterprise 3, 4
- Fedora Core 1, 2, 3, 4
- Suse Enterprise Server 8, 9
- Suse Linux 9.x
- Ubuntu 5.04
The goal of the BitRock LAMPStack is to run in the maximum number
of Linux platforms. For example, this release is also known to work in older releases of Red Hat and different versions of Debian, Slackware, Gentoo and Mandrake.
