Our goal is to help encourage the use of open source applications by making them easier to use. MonoStack is licensed under the terms of the Apache License 2.0. You are free to use, copy, distribute and modify the package as you like as long as you comply with the terms of the license.

Although MonoStack as a whole is licensed under the terms of the Apache License 2.0, the open source components it contains each have their own licenses. It is important that you read and understand each of those licenses if you choose to make changes to any of the components of MonoStack. The relevant licenses are:

• The Mono Project:
  • The C# Compiler and tools are released under the terms of the GNU General Public Library License GPL.
  • The runtime libraries are under the GNU Library GPL 2.0 (LGPL 2.0).
  • The class libraries are released under the terms of the MIT X11 license.
• Apache, mod_python: Apache License 2.0
• MySQL: MySQL License (General Public License with one exception)
• mod_dav: mod_dav License Agreement v1
