| Products: |
xTuple offers three editions of their award-winning accounting, ERP and CRM application: Postbooks, Standard and Manufacturing. Postbooks is an open source product that is available free of charge from the xTuple website. The Standard edition builds upon the Postbooks edition by including additional functionality around financial, warehouse and shipping management. xTuple Manufacturing adds manufacturing-specific functionality to the Standard edition to make it the most feature-complete of the three offerings.
xTuple and its partners have developed in-depth expertise in ERP implementation and work with clients to ensure than they get the most out of whichever version of xTuple they choose to deploy.
|
Challenge: |
PostBooks is a completely open source, full-featured, fully-integrated accounting, ERP, and CRM system. Its user base consists of predominantly small to midsized businesses, many of which have little to no IT staff and therefore do not have the resources to undertake a complex ERP initiative. xTuple chose BitRock to provide a quick and easy installation process to eliminate technical barriers to even the smallest firms installing its robust open source ERP solution.
|
BitRock Solution: |
BitRock developed a completely self-contained installer for Postbooks that runs on Microsoft Windows, Apple Mac OS X, and numerous distributions of the Linux operating system, including Ubuntu, Red Hat, and Novell SuSE. The installer completely automates the process of installing and configuring Postbooks and the PostgreSQL database, so by the time users click 'finish', the system is ready to run. This ease of use makes it possible for small companies with limited IT resources to benefit from an enterprise-grade accounting, ERP and CRM system at a cost they can afford.
